City of Kennesaw Parks - Kennesaw, Georgia

The Kennesaw Parks and Recreation Department features 13 neighborhood parks, Burrell Field on Moon Station Road and Adams Park on Park Drive.

The neighborhood parks were developed through an agreement with the City and Developers.   5% of each new sub-division is set aside as a donation to the City for a park.   The neighborhood parks are:  Pine Mountain, Shillings Chase, Butlers Ridge, Woodland Acres, Chalker, McCullom, Kennesaw Station, Terry Lane, Tara, Wrens Ridge, Deerfield, Winchester Forest and Fairfax.  Neighborhood parks have little or no parking since they were developed as walk-up parks for neighborhood residents.

Burrell Field is the adult softball facility and is also used for girl's softball and occasionally as a soccer field.  Adams Park is the City's youth facility.   Presently, Adams Park has 6 baseball/softball fields, football field and two tennis courts.  The City has purchased 20 additional acres adjacent to Adams Park (map) and construction is underway to expand the Park.
