Clayton County Parks

The Beach at Clayton County International Park
The Beach at Clayton County International Park is a water park and much more.
The water park area of the complex is sectioned off and its operations are seasonal. The
6-acre swimming lake features five slides, including one tube slide. The children's
adventure pool is filtered and has many fun activities. An arcade and birthday celebration
rooms are offered at the park.
Because safety is of the utmost concern at the facility, The Beach chemically treats and
circulates its swimming water. The facility is also a study site for the CDC's strict
water quality control program. Personnel training is another important safety at the park.
Lifeguards at The Beach lake part in intensive on-going training and testing throughout
the swimming season.
The Beach at Clayton County International Park was the site of the Volleyball venue for
the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. The complex, now owned by the county, is developing plans
for continued use beyond the Olympic games,
The park complex is open year round and offers many amenities free to residents and
visitors, including a tennis center, 10-Court Volleyplex, and trails for non-motorized
bikes. The park has two fishing lakes, and the paved pathways winding throughout the parks
188 acres are ideal for activities such as jogging, roller blade skating, and even
leisurely strolls. Outdoor tables and grills are located conveniently for picnics.
Additionally, the park complex has facilities to host a broad range of special events.
The Beach's VIP Complex offers several meeting rooms for day and evening functions ranging
from small to large group outings.
The Beach also plays host to several shows and festivals each year, including the Southern
Crescent's own Beaux Arts Festival.
The official catering service, Finished Line Events, is owned by Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Fixed menus and custom dinners are available.
