Carroll County Parks


Fairfield Plantation (Carrollton/Villa Rica): This private residential resort community offers guests of members access to golf, tennis, swimming, boating, water skiing and clubhouse dining.

Sunset Hills Country Club (Carrollton): This private country club features an 18-hole golf course, two swimming pools, tennis courts, playground and clubhouse, open to members and their guests.

Lakeshore Park (Carrollton): This 44-acre complex includes lighted combination athletic fields, a 440-yard tract and fitness trail, swimming pool, playground equipment, dressing and shower facilities, a wooded park and picnic area with a covered pavilion.

Lake Carroll (Carrollton): This 175-acre facility offers boating, skiing and fishing with picnic, concession and restroom facilities.

East Carroll Park (Carrollton): These 85 acres include a soccer field and two regulation baseball fields.

Roadside Park and Museum (Carrollton): This one-acre wooded park has picnic tables adjacent to the Carroll County Museum.

City Park and Gymnastic Center (Carrollton): This 2.8-acre facility offers wooded picnic area with playground equipment and an exercise and gymnastics center.

Oil Distributor's Park (Carrollton): These 10.8 acres include a lighted softball field and all-purpose court, a picnic pavilion and playground equipment.

Buffalo Creek (Carrollton): This facility contains a football field and softball fields covering over 17 acres.

Longview Street Park (Carrollton): This two-acre park has playground equipment, tennis courts and a small ballfield.

Westside Recreation Area (Carrollton): A lighted softball field, swimming pool and recreation center are enjoyed within this nine-acre area.

Grisham Stadium (Carrollton): A lighted 4500-seat stadium and football field, six-lane low-impact track, field event areas, press box, concession and restroom facilities fill three acres.

Smith Park (Carrollton): This quaint park features a fountain and gazebo.

Central and Worthy Parks (Carrollton): Both of these half- acre courtyard parks have benches and a fountain.

Gold Dust Park (Villa Rica): Located near I-20, this 31-acre complex contains athletic fields, tennis courts, picnic areas and a playground.

Villa Rica City Park: Besides a recreation building, you'll find a swimming pool, playground, T-Ball fields and picnic area.

Tanner Medical Center Fitness Trail (Carrollton): This one mile figure-eight track for walking and jogging is located behind Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.

Dillard Recreation Field (Mt. Zion): This recreational complex includes several ball fields.

Ashmore Park (Mt. Zion) makes an ideal spot for a picnic.

Roopville Field: This facility has one baseball field and is sponsored by the Roopville Athletic Association.

Temple Youth Association provides a nature walk and softball fields for public use. It is located off Johnson and Rome Streets.

Whitesburg Parks Recreation Field is located off Main Street and offers a softball/baseball field, and outside basketball court and a playground and picnic area.

Bowdon Recreation Center features softball fields, tennis courts, playground and picnic areas.

Temple City Park provides walking trails and baseball fields for the community.
